A New Kind of Mother

In a little over a month, I have to say good-bye to these two boys.  They came to our house, in August of 2009 to study English as a second language, and to take classes here for credit back in their native countries of China and Japan. 
If you would have told me last August that I would love these two boys like I love my own flesh and blood, I probably wouldn’t have believed you.  But I do, my heart aches already at the good-byes that we are facing in a few short weeks.  They are two of the greatest blessings that God has put into our lives.
When my husband and I were in college, we were BROKE……we had Cooper, we had food-stamps and we had section-8 housing….we were poor…..so when I was taking summer classes, I saw a flyer for an International Studies program.  It was asking for people to become a host family for a 3-week committment in August.  The reason I looked twice is because it was offering a $400.00 stipend for hosting the student.  I called Kevin and asked him if he was interested, and he said sure……I figured I am already coming up to the college four days per week for summer school, I can bring the student with me…..
So we did, and
