One of the most challenging things about owning my own business, is the fact that no matter how hard I try, there will be times that I am unable to please people. I don’t like, I hate that.  I want to have 100% good reviews, and 100% positive experiences for my clients and my business’ reputation.

Last week, I encountered someone who’s mean-spirited comments and expectations almost made me rethink my whole venture.  Luckily, I have friends and clients who believe in me, and told me that my business is going to have people, that no matter how hard I try to meet their expectations, it and I will never be

That said, I knew I needed to stick to my guns, and continue my business in the same way that I had from the beginning.  What others may see as simply a picture, I see as art.  My art speaks of my soul, my story and my dreams of leaving a legacy that Ireland would be proud of.

Because at the end of the day, I may not be enough for those certain people, but to my great-God I am enough, and to my Ireland Elizabeth, I am living every day knowing that she would be proud.

That is enough, more than enough.

  1. Great post! I’m learning this too. At the end of the day it matters what God has to say about us, not trying to measure up to what other people think! And by the way your little girl is adorable! Have a blessed day:)

  2. I love your photos! and your post! It’s so true that we can’t please everyone all of the time, but oh don’t we long to! (Also I adore the name of your business – pink balloon photography – how cute!) So glad you linked up over at Lisa Jo’s today 🙂

  3. Love the photos! You are right, it’s enough that we please God, and live to please Him, but it’s so easy to want, and try to please others. Even when those others can’t be pleased. Thanks for linking up at Lisa Jo’s.
