Fluffy

I lied this week. My birthday is on Thursday, and this was the year that I needed to renew my driver’s license.  The last time I had to go to the DMV was in 2004 when I turned 21.

I’ve had four babies since then, and each time the fluff around my middle region has gotten fluffier!  Well, last weekend my father-in-law and I had a wedding to shoot and while I was taking pictures of the bride, he was taking production shots of me, taking pictures of the bride.  That’s awesome, always nice to have some professional working shots right?  Well, when I threw the SD card in the computer and sat down to work through the images, I was shocked……There is a fat chick holding the camera in all of those production shots.  I don’t know how I ended up 40 pounds {gulp} over-weight, well I guess I do know, but this is my pity-party.

I have a friend who sells Amway, I love their nutrition line and their cleaning products; they work so well for my asthmatic husband and baby. They have a weight-loss plan that I am eager to try, at this point I need to make some drastic changes in my eating–exercise–and lifestyle.  In addition to the supplements, I decided to count every calorie, down to the last crumb and put it into an app that I have on my phone, called My Fitness Pal.  This little app is something fantastical, there are more foods that you could even imagine stored in its database, plus it gives me the option of scanning a bar-code to input the data about the food.  Suuu-weeet!

I have no excuses, except for the million and one little voices in my head telling me that bacon and brownies are healthy and in fact, are known to cause euphoria when consumed!

Gulp, now we’re going to get personal.

  1. Height:  5’8″
  2. Weight:  190lbs <—ugh
  3. Activity level:  I don’t think I am lazy, but I hate the gym……what category does that put me in?
  4. Goal:  Lose 40 pounds, and some inches….
  5. Goal:  Run a 10k by next spring.

There it is; the good, the bad and the ugly! 😀

Wish me Luck
